red house No. 2  

This super insulated house, built with a REMOTE wall system, sits on a bluff with expansive windows on the south and washes the interior with light throughout the year. Red was chosen to contrast the bleak winter grey, bringing a warmth to the house. The original structure, sited in the same location, was built with unreinforced CMU blocks up to the roof, an unworkable structure in which to remodel or work with.
