FARPOINT

This single family residence is located in Stuckagain Heights neighborhood in Anchorage, Alaska. The goals of the project were to update the kitchen and integrate the separate dining space into one larger space with the kitchen and family room. The previous space was dark and did not take advantage of the views of this wooded hillside lot. Arctic entries are highly utilized spaces in our climate and so we also focused on making the utility room a more welcoming space that includes the laundry and powder rooms. There was some questioning at the outset of feeling the need to expand the footprint but with an efficient and organized floor plan we were able to get everything the client wanted within the existing footprint.
